I usually get really into St. Patrick's Day... especially at school because that is my holiday (having the last name and all). However, I was so bummed that I wasn't even going to be at school because I signed up to go to a cool workshop. Anyways, I spent a ton of time making up fun St. Patrick's day stuff for my kiddos and my poor sub didn't even get to half of it! Oh well... As soon as I got to my workshop, I realized I didn't have on green and I hadn't even picked green out for ol' PJ. The beauty of kids is that they will one way or another find green on themselves no matter how significant it is. PJ had a little bit in the words on his shirt... and on the socks!! Ha! Ha! Gotta love that! Anyways... Happy "Green" Day, good luck to all, and I hope you all find your pot of gold!

Howdy.... Taylor is loving 2nd grade. She likes her school, I do to. They have alot of "extra" classes. Art, PE twice a week, Library twice a week, Music. Her teacher is on Maternity leave till May, SO I am not just loving that. The sub is ok, but you know....
Taylor turns 8 next friday and she will be baptised into our church the next day. She is SUPER excited, we have family coming in for the fun weekend. Taylor still misses you and talks about the things you would do last year... She always asks me to get out her 1sr grade box. (the box with all the things we saved from last year) Thanks for being so good to her last year.
BTW... I love your new puppy. We just got a 1 yr old Beagle from the shelter. She is so sweet. Her name is Penelope.
I have to say I don't really miss the workshops, but I do miss teaching. I might go back here in a few years when the girls get older. If I do go back I will really miss days like today, Andy and I took the girls to the zoo. Maklee loved all the animals. I miss hanging out with you. We used to have a lot of fun! This summer we'll have to plan something to get together and hang out.
St. Patrick's Day is one of the best holidays as a teacher. I sort of missed it myself. What was the workshop you went to? Where was it? That's so true about kids finding a certain color on their bodies when needed.
